A BIG Thank You to Megan Donovan for organizing this years North by Northwest Cleanups. We had neighbors out at Friendship Park doing some cleanup of cans and bottles as well as some garden work. We had the same at Fairview Park with some planting of Hosta and Daylillies near the entrance to the park. Route 378 at 3rd Ave and then down on Union Blvd were the place to be with a ton of trash pickup and organic debris removal. Thank you to the Moravian students who came out and sacrificed some of their exam prep time to clean up Monocacy Street from the HUB down to Union Blvd and thanks to Hillary at Higbee Park for showing the kids that clean matters!
Our partners for the day, the DBA also had a great cleanup in and around the downtown with a big group fanning out from Main and Broad and cleaning up like a bunch of army ants! GREAT JOB and thanks to EVERYONE who participated!!
